This Privacy Policy explains how PodClip ("the Service") handles information. PodClip is a tool for creators to generate and publish short-form video clips to their own connected social media accounts.
1. Information We Process
PodClip processes the following to function:
• Publicly available podcast videos that a creator chooses to process.
• Authentication tokens for the social media accounts a creator connects (for example,
a TikTok access token), used only to publish content to that creator's own account.
• Basic account information (such as the connected TikTok username) needed to confirm
the connected account.
2. How Information Is Used
Information is used solely to operate the Service: to generate clips and to publish clips that a creator has reviewed and approved to that creator's own connected accounts. Information is not used for advertising or sold to any third party.
3. Data Storage
The Service stores a creator's authentication tokens and generated clips only as needed to provide the Service, and does not transmit them to any server other than the third-party APIs required to provide the Service (such as TikTok and the AI provider used to analyze content).
4. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party APIs, including TikTok and an AI content-analysis provider. Information shared with those providers is governed by their respective privacy policies. The Service shares only what is necessary to perform the requested actions.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties except as required to provide the Service's core functionality (for example, sending a video to TikTok to publish it) or as required by law.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
A creator may delete their data at any time by removing the relevant local files. Connected account access can be revoked at any time through the respective platform's settings.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
